Bodies of the Association are:
- Assembly
- Managing Board and
- Chairman
Assembly of the Association is the body of all members of the Association which determines its program policy. The Assembly ratifies decisions of the Managing Board on appointment and suspension of members, election and suspension of members of the Managing Board, adoption of annual business and financial reports and Statute of the Association.
Each member has the right on one vote in the Assembly. The Assembly of the Association brings decisions by the simple majority of votes, unless differently stipulated by the Articles of the Association or any other general act of the Association. Associate members do not have the right to vote in the Assembly.
Managing Board of the Association is composed of five members, appointed by the Assembly for the period of two years. The Managing Board executes program policy defined by the Assembly through the Association's departments and with its recourses. The Managing Board manages the Association and passes decisions, proposes the Statute to the Assembly, decides on admission of affiliate members to the Association, reviews and adopts strategy, destination of activities and issues regarding media policy, matters of the profession and issues of importance for electronic media and reviews and adopts business plans of the Association.
The current composition of the Managing Board of the Association of Independent Electronic Media was elected on the last meeting of the Assembly, held on May 12, 2006 and the following members were appointed:
- Sasa Mirkovic, RTV B92 from Belgrade
- Milorad Tadic, Radio Boom 93 from Pozarevac
- Dragan Kocic, Radio City from Nis
- Boban Tomic, RTV Bajina Basta and
- Slobodan Stojsic, Radio 021 from Novi Sad.
Chairman of the Managing Board represents and speaks in the name of the Association and promotes its goals and interests to the public. The Chairman is also obliged to act upon decisions of the Managing Board and execute the decisions of the Association.
Chairman of the Managing Board of the Association is Sasa Mirkovic, chairman of the RTV B92 Managing Board.
Deputy Chairman of the Managing Board is Milorad Tadic, director of Radio Boom 93 from Pozarevac.
