This is the first private radio station in Kraljevo, founded in 1993.
Though primarily local town radio, owing to technical conditions and editorial concept - it reaches out to listeners in Cacak, Vrnjacka Banja, Usce, Raska, Kragujevac...
In July 1997 inspector of Federal Administration for radio connections seized the transmitter on the lame excuses it had been illegally imported. Globus showing complete documentation proving regularly paid taxes and custom duties and approved contingencies did not help.
Globus comes out to the street and starts the OPEN STUDIO about which independent domestic and foreign media report.
After a petition was organized and signed by over 3000 citizens, the equipment was returned in less than four days. Globus restarted broadcasting Radio B-92 program and foreign services in Serbian (all through to enforcement disreputable Act of Informing).
As anonymous threatening calls and informative "advice" continued, some clients, not only close to SPS but also impartial, avoided cooperation with Radio Globus, worried for their survival.
Radio team consists of about ten enthusiasts who create mainly informative programs in hardly moderate circumstances.
After the NATO air strikes, Globus Radio was robbed two times in two weeks and complete studio equipment taken away. Perpetrators have not been found up to the present.
Globus is the only station in the town not broadcasting folk music. Its motto is "The radio that does not stand trash".
